ROSTERkey allows the grouping of workers into Teams. No business logic, e.g. shift patterns, alerts/rules, etc. apply to Teams. They are simply a mechanism to view workers with a different grouping.
The Roster Administration and Work Roster pages are able to view workers grouped by Team in a similar fashion as to the Crew and Role views.
Setting Up Your Teams
Use the "Configuration -> Team" config page to set up your teams. Normal configuration page processing applies.
Each Team has the following data attributes:
- Name: the name of the team, up to 100 characters
- Code: a unique code for the team, up to 40 characters
- From: the date from which the team is active
- To: the date to which the team is active
- Team Supervisors: this flag indicates whether approvals for changes to the roster for the team members can be approved by any supervisor/manager or only those that are also in the team.
- Administrators can approve changes to any employee regardless of this flag.
- N.B. the "Team Supervisors" feature is yet to be implemented.
- Display Order: the order in which this team will be displayed on the Roster Administration and Work Roster pages. Multiple teams can have the same display order. In this case, the Code will determine the final sorting order within the Display Order.
- Team Members: this is a read only list of all team members, past, present, and future.
Managing Team Membership
Team membership is managed using Operator Movements.
