Normally an employee will receive an email from the ROSTERkey system in order to verify their credentials when you first create them as a user.  However, sometimes your employees may not have an email address or ready access to email.  You can still get them access!

Every user needs an email address.  But, it does not have to be valid.  However, if their account is not validated then they won't be able to login.  If you want to avoid having the system attempt to send a user any emails, create them with a dummy email for the domain deadletterbin.rk, e.g. [email protected].  Note that everyone needs to have a unique email address in the system so create them with number suffixes or some other mechanism, e.g. [email protected], [email protected], etc.

Use the Configuration -> User page to create new users.

Once you have created a new user, you will see their temporary password.  Notice that their Status will be "Confirm Signup Required".

Now, normally, the users will have received an email that includes instructions, their username, and the temporary password.  But because you used "@deadletterbin.rk" they did not.

The URL that they need to go to to activate their account will be https://yourcompany.rosterkey.com/confirm-signup.  You will have to let them know this URL.  Make sure you replace the "yourcompany.rosterkey.com" with your actual ROSTERkey subdomain.

Here they will see this screen.

Give the employee their username and the Temporary Password.  They can put in their own New Password and confirm it.  Once they successfully submit that form they should be able to login to ROSTERkey through your normal URL, https://yourcompamny.rosterkey.com.

Please note that the temporary password only lasts for 7 days.  If you wait longer than that before verifying the new user it will have expired.

Currently there are restrictions on re-sending invitations when using an "@deadletterbin.rk" email address.  To overcome this, enter an email address that is anything else.  It does not have to be real but does have to be unique, e.g. [email protected].  Just remember to set their email back to the deadletterbin.rk address once everything is verified.
