A segment of a pattern within a Roster is called a "Swing".  For example, below, "1" represents the swing comprised of 6 shifts, "R,D,D,N,N,N", "2" represents a Swing of 5 shifts, "D,D,D,N,N", and "3" represents "D,D,N,N".  Other swings continue through the roster pattern.

In the Roster Administration page you can re-assign these shifts individually for a Worker if desired.  Also, it is possible to re-assign the entire Swing in one process.  Select the shifts to be re-assigned and the choose "Re-assign Shifts by Swing..." menu item.

This process only applies to rostered shifts.  If you choose days with no shifts or with changed shifts, the menu item will not be available.

The Assign Swing window will then be displayed.

The details of the shifts you chose are displayed (1).  You can choose from the available Swing patterns in the roster (2) to re-assign the shifts.  You can also start at a different point in the new pattern (3), realign the start date for the new pattern (4), and assign a new Role to the shifts (5).  You can also remove a row by hovering over the left of a row and clicking the "x" that appears.

You can also individually change a shift or role.

Once you are happy with the changes, click the "Re-assign" button.  If you have not made changes or re-assigned every row you will be shown a message and the re-assign will not take place.  Otherwise you will be prompted to confirm.

Notice that the message indicates that only 2 shifts will be re-assigned.  This is because, in this case, only 2 have had changes made to them.  Once you confirm, the re-assignments will be created as DRAFT roster changes.  You can then remove or publish them as appropriate.
